Supplemental Coverage

Supplemental Insurance Coverage

Supplemental insurance is extra coverage that helps fill in the gaps left by your primary health insurance. It’s designed to provide cash benefits directly to you if you face certain health issues, accidents, or other events, helping cover out-of-pocket costs such as deductibles, copays, or even everyday expenses like bills and groceries.

Here’s how supplemental insurance typically works:

  • Pays cash benefits directly to you: You get money you can use however you want — no need to pay providers directly.
  • Covers costs beyond your main insurance: Helps with things like hospital stays, surgeries, doctor visits, or lost income.
  • Offers specific types of coverage: Examples include accident insurance, critical illness coverage, hospital indemnity, cancer insurance, disability, and more.
  • Optional and flexible: You can choose plans that fit your needs alongside your main insurance.
